I am Ivan Nozzi, an Ingegnere — the Italian professional title for an engineer registered with a provincial Ordine — practising in civil and environmental engineering from a studio in Torrevecchia Teatina (CH), Abruzzo. Enquiries arrive by phone, by email, by PEC or through the form on this page, and a short written message is the fastest way to a useful answer: the comune the property sits in, what you need, and how far along you are.

The sequence is always the same. I read what you send and reply, as a rule, within two working days. A first call follows, usually a short one, to understand the situation: where the property is, which documents already exist, what actually has to be decided. Only after that call do I put a proposal in writing, setting out the scope of the engagement, the documents I will deliver, the timescale and the fee. Nothing begins until you have accepted it.

That first call is neither a quotation nor a site inspection. It establishes whether the matter falls within what I can take on, and in what order the steps have to happen. Where part of the work sits outside my remit — the accredited certifier who issues the APE, or an architect where the building carries a heritage restriction — I say so then, not once the engagement is running.

I work in Italian, but you are welcome to write to me in English or German too: enquiries in those languages are read and answered. Quotes, contracts and reports are drawn up in Italian, the language that carries legal effect in Italy. Meetings, site visits and calls are held in Italian: you can bring someone to interpret, or I can suggest someone locally.
